I'm Travis Vick.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am licensed as a professional counselor by the state of Texas (LPC #63056).
My treatment method utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the relationship between thinking patterns, emotions, and behaviors. As a person of faith, my counseling method is based on a biblical worldview; however, I accept clients of all faiths and beliefs.
Before entering private practice, I worked as a counselor for a residential treatment center specializing in caring for teenage boys. I have also worked as a counselor and case manager for a foster care agency and completed an internship at an inpatient mental health hospital. In addition, I regularly teach parenting classes using the Parenting with Love & Logic system.
I am married to Katie, and we have three children. Katie is a family medicine physician in the area, and we often partner in healing clients’ bodies and minds. In addition to working and raising our children, we are active in our church, enjoy sports, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
